Nissan Navara Blog Spot

Helllo all! Current owner of 54 plate D22 30k miles, I’m doing around 15-20 k a year nearly all that heavy towing! Just a couple of questions after reading that these nissans may not be the last word in reliability…

Is it possible to fit a D40 engine into the D22?What about the box too, I know theres an extra gear in the box and also the intercooler is front mount not top mount….

Did have a classic shape Impreza for a few years and you can fit six speed box from newer cars and a front mount intercooler instead of top, in fact alot of the new age engine box stuff can be changed… I know its a totally differant marque but reading on here the D40 bottom end can be used on a D22 rebuild?

Lastly how much for a standard rebuild from a reputable builder, not nissan

Sorry for all the questions, just gearing myself up for th next two years of ownwership (three year loan see!)
